Happy end of 2024, I can’t believe how quickly the year has passed. Certainly, summer seemed to blink by, but the year is ending too quickly. Now here we are, already preparing for 2025. For Pecora, we certainly hit a lot of our objectives this year, new products, new equipment, new employees, and new talents. It has really been a year of growth, learning, and setting the stage for an even better 2025. While we met many of our goals, some opportunities still lie ahead, reminding us that there’s always more to accomplish. These will undoubtedly fuel our momentum into the new year.
New opportunities are always in front of us. Many projects that were shelved due to the economic challenges of 2023 and 2024 are now re-emerging as active opportunities. The typical issues come with all the good news, are there enough tradesmen and women to handle the growing demand, new regulations for product’s composition and containers, what will the new political environment do to availability of some raw materials and products needed to allow completion, and will there have to be some redesign to accommodate the supply of these raw materials and supplies?
And then there’s AI—a tool we’ve only begun to scratch the surface of. How do we identify the quick wins while also addressing its more complex applications? AI challenges us to think bigger.
We have an ambitious line of new products from our R&D team aimed not only at the construction industry but also at markets outside our traditional focus. The question is: how do we position these innovations in the right markets, with the right strategy? It’s a balancing act of prioritization, ensuring we stay focused while exploring new possibilities.
That’s the exciting part of the end of the year, trying to button up, reflect, and plan for the future. As we strive to close 2024 strong, our goal is to plan intelligently for 2025—selling ourselves neither short nor beyond our capabilities. Achieving this balance is always a challenge, but it’s one we embrace wholeheartedly. Safety is always on the forefront of our mines.
None of this would be possible without our Pecora team. From sales to customer relations, marketing communications to manufacturing, distribution to R&D, and the invaluable internal support team—we’ve tackled this year together. While 2025 will bring its share of “oops” moments (inevitable when you’re moving fast and innovating), we’ll face them with the same resilience and determination that defined 2024.
